The mechanism

The chart shows two rising lines from "new shop" to "veteran." The dark "ladder buyers read" line climbs high; the dashed "ladder you're climbing," the credentials you pile up, stays low, and the shaded gap between them is the part a buyer can't grade. A dotted line shows that publishing a clear point of view is the on-ramp that lifts you onto the ladder buyers actually use.
