The mechanism

The chart tracks two lines across four cash squeezes. The red "subcontract share" line steps up at every pinch and never steps back down. The dark "direct pipeline" line stays flat along the bottom, even sagging by the fourth squeeze. Each jump felt like the right short-term fix, but the fast, low-paying work slowly takes over the whole business.
