The Five-Second Test
In their first few seconds on your site, buyers try to answer three questions, and most homepages only help with one.

The mechanism
The chart lines up the three questions a visitor asks: who is this for, what problem do they solve, and why believe them. Under each, a green pass box shows a concrete answer, "for B2B SaaS founders, 51 to 200 employees," next to a red fail box with a vague one, "for growing businesses that want to scale." A tally at the bottom notes that most homepages clearly answer just one of the three and bluff the rest. It's not whether you know the answers; it's whether they're plainly on the page, because a buyer who has to guess fills the gap with price.
