The Lopsided Pentagon

The chart is a five-sided radar with a point for each part of the business: positioning, productization, publishing, partnerships, and persistence. The dotted outline shows where a founder thinks they are, a big, even shape. The solid green shape shows where a diagnostic actually scores them: strong on four points but caved in on one. A gold marker sits at the dent, where the money leaks out. Four strong areas can't make up for one that has collapsed; sooner or later the whole business takes the shape of its weakest side.
