The Utilization Trap

The chart shows what happens as your team gets busier. One line is how much of their time is filled with paid client work - it climbs toward 100% and stays there. The other line is how much room they have left to do the things that grow the business, like raising prices or chasing better clients. As the first line goes up, the second goes down, until you're so full there's no time left to grow. Being fully booked today costs you the room to charge more tomorrow.
