The mechanism

The chart shows three stacked bars of cost and profit. In 2023 a job brings $150K. In 2026, doing that same job faster by the hour brings only $60K - the time you saved became the buyer's discount. Priced as a flat fee, the same faster job still brings $150K, and the saved time becomes your profit. How you bill decides who keeps the time you save.
